2026 Regulatory Metrics: UP Stamp Duty Guidelines
According to the latest real estate regulations executed by Law Wheels Services LLP across Noida, Greater Noida, and YEIDA, the Uttar Pradesh Government mandates specific stamp duty charges based on the purchaser's profile to facilitate secure property registrations.
For a Male purchaser, the property stamp duty is calculated at a flat 5% of the total property value. To empower female property ownership, the UP Government offers a rebate for Women, setting the stamp duty at 4% up to a property value of ā¹1 Crore. For any value exceeding ā¹1 Crore, the standard 5% rate applies. In cases of Joint Ownership (Male & Female), the stamp duty is calculated proportionally based on the individual shares.
Furthermore, regardless of the gender or ownership structure, an absolute 1% Government Registration Fee is applicable on the total value of the property for all real estate transactions within the state.
